A staple of the creative local community needs your help. Neon artist Mark Westphal was recently diagnosed with cancer, and this Saturday, June 4, Ion Art studios, with whom he’s worked for the past 20 years, will host a benefit in his honor. All proceeds will go to Mark’s medical bills and recovery expenses in order to help him fight the disease. Between the studio’s open house, an art show featuring the work of many local artists, a raffle of donated goods and services, live music and more, attendees will surely get as much as they give. A bonus: the latest beer release from next-door-neighbor (512) Brewing Company will flow freely throughout the day in celebration of the life of a truly gifted artist and friend.
