Music lovers know Passion Pit from their near-annual electro-romp through Austin; in 2009, they graced the ACL stage with their Boston-based beats full of happiness and hope, and they packed Stubb’s outdoor amphitheater the following year with die-hard enthusiasts who braved 100-degree temperatures and above to get an earful of their upbeat synth sounds for an hour or two. This month, they’re returning to The Backyard on Bee Caves Road to promote their new album Gossamer – a perfect title to describe the light and airy dance pop confections with which they’ve become synonymous. The show starts at 8 pm on Saturday, September 15.
