To cap off a seven-month series of free movies in the park interlaced with opportunities for the community to learn about important non-profit organizations, The Expedition School — in conjunction with the Austin Parks Foundation and a sponsorship courtesy of the Alamo Drafthouse – presents the Reel Paddling Film Festival on Saturday, August 13. The event brings together the year’s best professional and amateur films about canoeing, sea kayaking, whitewater sports, fishing and more. For thrill seekers, competitors and adventurers alike, the day will also include a series of paddle races, as well as 1K, 5K and 10K races.

Austin Corporate Housing – Quick Walk Through of N Housing Corporate Furnished Apartment Suite in Austin, TX

Here is a walk through of our N Housing corporate furnished apartment suite in North Austin. When we get some extra time, we try take quick iPhone videos of the furnished suite before the guests check in. In this unit we didn’t add a chair in the living room to allow space for items the guests were bringing in. This guest is staying with us as they get ready to move back to their home city after being dispatched to work in Austin for few years. Corporate housing allows them to maintain a home living while they pack all of their furniture and housewares to be moved back home. They will have plenty of living space for their family which includes a young child. They don’t have to worry about noise as much as they would at hotel and have the option to cook meals at home.

Katy Perry – Saturday, July 30, 2011

Equal parts goofball, bombshell, pinup and pop star, knockout Katy Perry takes the stage at the Frank Erwin Center next Saturday, July 30. Expect an unabashedly poptastic spectacle as she performs hits like “Teenage Dream,” “I Kissed a Girl” and current summer smash “Last Friday Night.” No telling whether or not husband Russell Brand will be in tow, but she’ll likely bring the comedy all on her own; she’s one of the few pop divas on the market today who seems to get her own joke. Special guest Robyn opens.

Tickets $45
Show starts at 7:30 pm, Saturday, July 30
1701 Red River Street
