Our favorite cinema geeks, the folks of The Alamo Drafthouse, have crowned 1982 the greatest summer for movies, ever. So, as part of its ongoing nostalgia-tinged lovefest, it’s hosting several special showings of the 1982 Steven Spielberg classic E.T., starring everyone’s favorite alien — the sweet little guy who wanted nothing more than to knock back a few Reese’s pieces and call the folks back home. Beat the heat and bring the kids this weekend (if you don’t have children, just summon up your inner eight-year-old) and take a little trip back in time.
